Marriage Vows

My dearest Kathy, I stand here today in the presence of our gracious Lord, to pledge my unswerving love for you. It is you, Kathy, who is the most important person on earth in my life. I hold you above all else. It is by His grace I stand before you, humbly acknowledging our love to be God’s precious gift, second only to the gift of our salvation. Kathy, I vow to never take this miraculous gift for granted, but rather to nurture and cherish our love, tenderly caring for you as Christ loves and cares for His beloved Church.

Kathy, it was God’s will that initially brought us together by email and it is God’s will that brings us together today in holy matrimony. Though 2,000 miles separated us, it proved to be no obstacle for our omnipotent God. For neither God’s will nor His love can ever fail.

Kathy, I pray God’s grace, mercy and love in our lives and marriage. May we always remember that in Christ we are more than conquerors, though we may face difficult times of trial. And may we, as a Christian couple, grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, accomplishing His perfect will for our lives. To God alone be the glory for this blessed union.
And it is in Jesus’ name that I pray these things. Amen.

I, Kathy, pledge to you, Rand, the rest of my life, as your wife, your lover and your friend. All that I am I share with you. I have chosen you as the one I want to be my life's partner. I take you to be my husband through all things: sickness, health, joy and sorrow, plenty and want, now and forever until death do us part. From the depth of my being, I will seek to always be open and honest with you. I love you, Rand, and before God, by His grace, I commit myself and my life to you in marriage relationship. I praise God for sending me a Christian man to spend the remainder of my life with. Rand, I vow to be the very best wife I can. I love you with all of my heart!
