Much has transpired since my last update. The Lord has moved me from Northern California to Houston, Texas. The reason……? To marry the most wonderful, beautiful, godly Christian woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing!

Kathy’s daughter placed her profile on the Internet hoping she might meet a special Christian man. I responded and our correspondence began, soon to grow to several e-mails a day. Phone calls between us lasted for hours, culminating in our meeting in person in San Francisco on New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t think of a better way to start the New Year!

The next week I flew to Houston to meet her children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren.

Eleven days later I put my house up for sale, closed my business and moved to Houston, four miles from Kathy’s house. My purpose? To pursue her hand in marriage!

I knew in my spirit she was the woman whom the Lord had chosen for me -- chosen even before Creation -- so leaving my old life behind was quite easy. My faith in the Lord is strong. If she were not the one, He was perfectly capable of making that fact known before my move. But no such indication was forthcoming. On June 1 we became man and wife, writing our own personal marriage vows to each other. [Read our vows]

The Christian walk is a faith walk. We are to follow Christ wherever He leads. He is the Good Shepherd; we are His sheep. The Lord led me to Houston where I am now a member of a new family….a delightful family whose love for each other is an example for all.

Because of Christ’s unfathomable love and grace, Kathy and I have begun a lifetime of new spiritual adventures together; adventures designed to conform us to the image of His Son. Grounded in our mutual faith in Jesus and bound by a supernatural love for each other -- both the unmerited gifts from our gracious God -- how can we not praise His holy name forever?!
